Last week we went to the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2022 and won the ‘Digital Legal Services’ award for our CRR 194 Opinion Service - a one-shop stop solution for financial institutions navigating the complexities of their industry.
Let's give some thought to the features it takes to become an innovative lawyer and some of the reasons that contributed to our award win:
💡 Firstly: Think different and challenge the status quo. Is there a better way to do things? We did not just listen to our clients, but actually watched them in order to come up with the right approach. Sometimes small changes have a huge impact.
💡 Secondly: Be persistent. Change takes time. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. We had the initial idea for our product as early as 2015. I took another seven years to notice that what clients said is not necessarily how clients acted, to come up with an MVP, to land the first pilot client and to get to the other clients to create a market leading product.
💡 Thirdly: Have fun! If you enjoy something, you will naturally prevail. Working with a fantastic team including solutions developer Abbie Lumley, senior marketing manager Vicki Robinson, associate Julia Tschickardt and trainee Fabienne Pollmeier certainly helps. Congratulations to the entire team!
